  • Been Lazy...

I have been really really lazy.. For the past couple of months I have not been blogging nd I have not record down any of my travelogue nor I have done anything to my blog. Failure..Total failure.. Months after months I'e been trying to revive my blog but seems like I've lost my blogging mojo! How can that be? Can someone tell me what happened?

Then today, I was thinking of my 2009 new year's resolution. And decided to do a review. Since it's now September and I am still able to catch up for the rest of the 3 months left for the year. And here goes:

    1. Save More Money - Failed
    2. Excel at work - Pending
    3. Travel to at least 3 new countries which I have yet been to + Explore UK - Passed
    4. Visit my aunt in Canada - Failed
    5. Get mum and dad a ticket to Canada as well - Passed
    6. Be part of my community - Passed
    7. Get props for the house back in Kuching - Passed
    8. Get a soulmate -Passed
    9. Go home again - Passed
    10. Keep my blog in healthy, good looking and updated all the time - FAILED

Now, like I said before it is not in priority order and looked like I've scored a good 70% of passes. Make that 65% with the 'Excel at work' still pending. Suppose to have the performance review in October and I guess I'll use that as a benchmark. If I get a payrise, I'll pass. If not, then I consider if failed. But I think that also subject to the company's policy that if there is no payrise this year due to the economy crisis that hit and gone, I'll consider it a pass. Fingers crossed, will not know that until the end of the year.

Well, I guess point no.1 and point no.3 contradicts between each other as well. How could I possibly save more when I am doing travelling all the time? Erm.. one have to pass! And I have passed the travelling test with flying colours. Indeed. Until I burn a hole in my pocket! I've been going on countless trips of the M1 motorway going up north and going down south of England. London, Manchester, Birmingham... Yorkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire... My proud little Toyota march on! Then it was the European Escapades, Italy, Sweden, Northern Ireland, Denmark all within the list of this year. Not to mention the other destinations outside Europe which I am planning for October, November and possibly December. That all has made up more than 3 country that I initially planned for.

Trying to be a fillal son, I am... PASSED! Hahaha... I managed to get mum and dad their ticket from home here to UK and then ticket to Canada as well. Aunt Mary was very pleased to see them after 21 years. But due to the massive price tag on the Canadian air fare, I have to give up on my own. Just too expansive to travel accross the Atlantic pond. Cost a bomb! If I have not worked here in the UK, I guess I wouldn't have afforded the ticket for them. It's their retirement trip. It's their trip of a lifetime. And I guess, sacrifice my own ticket not to go is worth it. Mum and Dad is still currently in St. Johns, NewFoundland Canada... Enjoying themselves... *happy*

Joined the gym since the new year and currently still going strong. Which is good. Joined the local community.. Made some friends locally too.

Went home in May for 2 weeks was abit too short. Abit reluctant to come back here but in some ways, I missed work *WHAT?* Felt wierd when you're not working or doing what you're supposed to do. I'll be on leave the next two weeks for my Denmark trip and all I can say is I might shorten it. Not the trip. But the holiday. Booked my tickets also for the 2010 CNY trip back home for just another two weeks which I will be spending sometime travelling this time around Malaysia again. 4 major cities of Malaysia and Singapore will be covered. North - Penang, South - Singapore, East - Kuching, West - Kuala Lumpur. Going to be fun!

Lastly, getting a soulmate. About a month ago, I have officially changed my status in Facebook from being 'single' to 'in a relationship'. I guess that reveals all. Enough said. :P

P/S: Sorry.. no pics this time.. Serious post. I'll come back for more. Trying to revive my blog now...
