  • Milan, Italy

I am so sorry that I have kind of neglected my blog. I have always wanted to write but then I just couldn't find the time for it. Excuses and excuses I made up not to blog. Not a 100% dedicated blogger but as I mentioned many post earlier, and also in my new year's resolution, I am looking for more time for myself rather than spending too much time online, I am trying to achieve that.

For the last couple of months, I've spending time happily away from the keyboard. Well, everyday monday to friday 8am to 5pm I'm already in front of the computer facing 3 computer monitors at work and when I get back home, I am trying to live a healthier life and trying to save my eyes from more strains from looking at the monitors although research study says the LCD monitors aren't as bad as those old CRT ones but still getting a life away from the frame is so much healthier.

I have got heaps and heaps of backlog of blogs to put up and I'm trying to put them up one by one. Warming, this is going to be a long long blog of Milan, Italy.

Pictures paints a thousand words. From the pictures, it has suggested that Italy is indeed a very nice country. A country full of architecture marvel and beautiful people and that includes those fashionistas and artists. Many of those artists which bares the Ninja Turtle names are all from Italy and they're so well known for decades. Not to say alot of those musicians are from Italy as well. Well, generally Italians are some cool people.

Realizing my dream o traveling around the world, this is the third continent in the world that I am exploring after Asia and the Southern Pacific continent of Australasia. And the first trip out to the mainland of Europe I did was out to Italy. I didn't had much time on this trip as it was an ad hoc trip which I made up after realizing I have to use up my annual leave which I carried over from last year before it's considered invalid. Milan is my first stop.

Personally I don't quite like Milan as many other places I've been. The Duomo is indeed amazing. The world's largest gothic style built church is indeed the main and pretty much only main attraction of Milan. I am not a shopping person and therefore LV and Gucci or Emporio Armani doesn't really make me happy. I am not a big fashionista as all the other Milanos are but gosh! People in this country really dress to impress! No doubt about that!

No offence to the blacks. But Milan are full of those black conman from Africa. Chanting out "Free! Free! Good luck from Africa!" and giving out this strings but then they hold your hand and depend for money before letting you go. Not a good sight. They are everywhere at every single tourist spots and just trying to con all those people. Making a living like that? These gypsies really ruin the face of Milan.  One of my travel mates has been conned and I was warned prior visiting these places.

Besides there is another bunch of con which is in front of the square in front of the Duomo which do the same thing but with bird seeds and holding your hand while all the pigeons attack you for food and they demand you for money. Let this be some sort of warning to anyone traveling to Milan. DO NOT ACCEPT FREE STUFF!

I spent about 2 days around Milan which I think it's a little too much. I am a been there done that person and I don't see myself relax and wanting to chill in Milan although it is thought to be very cool. The longer I stay, the more fear I got that all my money will be con in some sense. Food and things aren't really cheap in Milan too.

I was hoping to catch AC Milan or Inter Milan play a game of football in the Italian Serie A at San Siro but then I was out of luck when Beckham and the gang is not around and Inter Milan only play on the day after I leave. A little let down too as I am able to get the ticket and they aren't quite expansive too! Just to rock up on the day and it only cost about 25 euro.

Generally speaking, 2 days one night is just right to visit Milan. Walking around is not a problem and the Metro is easy to catch and speaking Italian English is just good enough. I mean Italian English.. not Italian.. you know.. with the ok hand finger gesture in front of your mouth... and pulling some of the words longer.. pIIIIzzzzzzaaa..iiTTTTAAAAllliiiaa....

Milanos are kindda sick isn't?They even dress up those male mannequins in bras and lingerie... SICK!

And I love scooting around Italy.. it's fun!
